Workers threaten strike at andPizzetta

At a press conference held by andPizzetta today, andPizzetta CEO Dayami Rivera along with spokesperson Nicholas D’Antoni spoke out about the alleged strike by andPizzetta workers.

When asked about how he feels about the ‘strike’, D’Antoni said “we do not want any of our employees to feel undervalued because we really think of andPizzeta as a family.”

The business has taken a quieter approach to avoid the strike which could cost andPizzetta valuable time, and as a result, profit.

“[We] are a family run business so we have multiple employees not asking for [more] money” says Rivera.

When asked how they would handle wage negotiations, Rivera again responded stating, “We hear where our employees are coming from. I will call in employees individually to speak with Human Resources about their pay.”

One such employee, Dan Citardi, assistant to the head chef at andPizzetta claimed to have received contact regarding his pay as promised by Dayami.

When asked about the raise he received following the press conference, he said “I am happy [with the raise] but I wouldn’t like to discuss the details.”

Correction: andPizzetta CEO Dayami Rivera was cited as Dayami several times and that has been corrected to Rivera.
