The press conference hosted by Mayor Andrade’s team, today on November 8, proved to be another dead end. While new information was uncovered about The Committee of Pacechester Liberty’s involvement with the distribution of alcohol, Andrade’s team decided to focus on gun control and creating laws to promote better background checks for gun purchases.
New information was released today about Deputy Sheriff, Chris Nocket, brewing beer in his bathtub. Juliana Skyler, a member of The Committee of Pacechester Liberty, distributed the beer during the Title 20-1 ban. The reason for this illegal act was simply for a form of protest against the alcohol ban.
While this information was uncovered, Mayor Andrade took it upon herself to post a public service announcement about infrastructure on twitter.
The press conference, which both Pacechester Post and PNN were denied entrance from, took on the topic of gun control–an issue that has not directly affected the citizens of Pacechester so far.
Gabby Corey, the Social Media Coordinator for Mayor Andrade’s team, explained that Mayor Andrade and her team were working to create stricter gun control laws. They want better background checks, especially for citizens with mental disabilities.
When asked about The Committee of Pacechester Liberty’s involvement with the distribution of alcohol made by Nocket, they denied the option to comment.
When PaceFeed has hit the streets to talk to citizens, there is a clear theme among all of them: they want to know what is happening in their community.
Although Mayor Andrade was at this press conference, she did not speak. She allowed her team to speak for her. This has become a common theme during her events.
We are reaching out to Andrade’s team for further comments.
Edit:
Mayor Andrade reached out to PaceFeed, and confirmed that there will be a press conference November 15 at 3:30pm, and Andrade will be speaking.
