Craig Scott, Special Aide to the Mayor was arrested Sept. 26 at 10:10pm behind the parking lot of andPizzetta by Pacechester Police officials for reckless driving.
According to the video posted by Pacechester, Scott was involved in a reckless driving event that left a car totaled. There are questions about whether alcohol was involved.
Mayor Andrade hosted a press conference in Wilcox Hall this afternoon at 2:45pm to talk about Scott’s arrest.
“[It was] unknown to us,” if Scott was “under the influence.” says Andrade.
There is “a criminal investigation currently,” says Amelia Gilmer, spokesperson for the Mayor’s office, of the Scott investigation.
“Craig Scott is under investigation by the Coalition,” Griselle Castillo, from the Pacechester Coalition, informed PaceFeed.
The Pacechester Coalition has spoken out about the event and plan to hold a press conference on Oct. 4 at 2:30pm. They plan to partner with organizations in the community like MADD (Mothers against Drunk Driving) and DADD (Dads against Drunk Driving) to bring attention to this issue.
